5th Conference for World Cooperation with the theme of teaching living languages by audio-visual means: Audio-visual Institute, Royan.

The Centre Audiovisuel de Royan pour l’Etude des Langues (CAREL, The Audiovisual Centre of Royan for Language Study) was founded in 1966 by the Town of Royan and the University of Poitiers.

Throughout the year, CAREL offers intensive language programs and immersion courses in German, English, Spanish, French as a foreign language and French as a native language both for French and foreign students. CAREL offers a multitude of programs and courses of instruction: intensive, immersive, evening classes, summer holiday courses, and courses for secondary school pupils. Students also have the option of taking a specially designed distance learning course via e-learning platform or over the phone in a blended learning format.
