On 6th September, 1984 Denmark issued a series of
four stamps with the theme of “ Danish Fisheries and Shipping”. The stamp on
this cover is one of the set.
The subject on the stamp symbolises the daily place of work
of the fishermen – the fishing vessel and the sea, and the emptying the trawl
bag on the deck of the boat.
