UNESCO World Heritage

UNESCO World Heritage theme for 1984 was "National  Parks". This UN  stamp on the FDC postmarked 18th April, 1984 depicts  The Serengeti National  Park, which is a large national park in Serengeti area of Tanzania. It is  most famous for its annual migration of over one and a half million   white  bearded (or brindled) wildebeest and 250,000 zebra. Serengeti National Park is  widely regarded as the best wildlife reserve in Africa due to its density of  predators and prey. This nice FDC was sent to me by Merja.
