Palaces

Pos Malaysia will issued a special collection of stamps featuring 10 of the most beautiful and majestic royal palaces of Malaysia on 18th July 2011. “The stamp collection is issued to honour the royal heritage of Malaysia. We are privileged for this opportunity to issue this royal collection and we hope our effort would increase the Malaysian public’s appreciation towards our royal history and heritage,” said Pos Malaysia Berhad group managing director/chief executive officer Datuk Syed Faisal Albar. The Royal Palaces stamp collection features the official palace of the sultan of each state. The palace is the official venue for important ceremonies and functions such as the proclamation, coronation ceremony and royal birthdays, weddings, conferment of titles and receptions for local and foreign dignitaries. The stamps, 32mmX27mm in size are printed in sheets of 10 on SPM watermark, phosphor coated paper (14 perforations for each stamp) in 10 designs of the royal palaces. Each palace featured in a stamp valued at RM1 has different and unique architectural features and designs that reflect the uniqueness of the royal lineages in Malaysia. Budin sent this interesting FDC with the 10 nice stamps.
